David was the resident keyboard/singer/ guitarist at our Cafe, the success of our music nights was due to his following. Thanks David.

Fortnightly residency 

David Williams and the Band 'While the Cats Away have been playing at our pub for over 4 years. They have an excellent sound and attract lovers of good music to our venue. It is always a pleasure to have them featuring here as they are a great, professional band.

40th Birthday Party

David made my birthday party special by tailoring the songs he sang to meet my tastes; eclectic that they are. He was meticulous in his preparation, finalising the selection well in advance of the date. On the day itself, he was punctual and polite. He organised himself efficiently, liaising with the other (children’s) entertainment and he was happy to mingle with the guests before, during and after the performances.

I would recommend him to my friends, family or otherwise (and for intimate venues as well as large functions).for his warm personality as well as his obvious musical talent. For my party he played keyboard and also guitar for some pieces … and his singing was lovely.

Moving Party 

David and While the Cats Away made our leaving party extra special. Nothing was too much trouble, the music was inspirational and they even had 80 year old guests up on the dance floor! Excellent value for money!!! Thank you so much.

50th Birthday Party 

David sang and played guitar to a lively roomful of family and friends, People sang along and got up and danced between the tables. The evening went with a swing, it couldn't have gone better - I would definitely use him again!

Corporate Christmas Party 

Just wanted to thank you so much for an amazing evening – you even got the Chairman dancing!!  Everyone was very impressed with your solo carols, the rocking band and the DJ you provided. It was a wonderful party and I’ve had a lot of compliments. I think I will say – watch this space for Christmas next year!!

David, a major 'thank you' to you and your band. From playing for our Candlelight Jazz Concert, hosting our Christmas party, playing during dinner, keeping the adults & kids entertained alike and even being Santa... all with a smile! We are truly impressed.

Hymns & Pimms was a phenomenal success, but how did you manage to play both organ and piano for two hours solid with hardly a sheet of music?

David is a talented musician who plays many instruments. He has good organisational skills and is a strong team member. He is also a very polite and friendly person. He supported pupils and the teachers in year groups 3, 4, 5 and 6 with challenging musical performances. With his support and encouragement, the children performed to a high standard.

The teachers enjoy working with David because of his easy manner yet confident direction: he worked alongside them refining the music and performance to suit the plays and also liaised with parents.

David Williams has been my piano teacher for more than 15 years and during that time my performance has improved greatly. I would recommend David as an effective piano teacher who is able to work with any age group.

He encourages me to learn and enjoy different styles of classical music; Jazz; songs from shows etc. He challenges me, encourages me to believe in myself and leave my comfort zone. He also enables me to continue to make an effort, even if I feel defeated. He gives me a realistic and constructive framework for practice and study and helps me to work on the feelings and technicalities of a piece of music.

David is a talented musician who can teach both piano and violin as well as play guitar and sing. He teaches to a high standard and gets good results in exam students.
